Limitations

Alpaca is not perfect, and Soci isn't either. Take some time to understand the limitations before you connect

Alpaca is not the holy grail, although I do have to say, their APIs were a pleasure to work with. Here are some of the things that are currently not supported by this integration.

• Investing in stock options, derivatives, or forex are currently not supported by Alpaca

• Investing in non-US stocks. Alpaca simply doesn't offer them yet.

• Investing in pink sheets or OTC markets. Alpaca doesn't offer support for OTC or pink sheets investing. This is a bummer for those who love trading "penny stocks".

• Investing after hours or before 9:30am ET or after 4:00pm ET is not supported. We only support investment activity during market hours.
